Invest in Greek Art

Where is the most potential?

The dance of investment of millions for one artist, one painting is still with the major Old Master and the top Impressionist/Twentieth Century household names. Picasso will always command millions for his paintings regardless of their age and originality. Monet will also be a major name for millionaires along Renoir, Dali, Miro, Braque, Degas etc. All the major names of art belong to a category that most of us are not possible investors. The same applies to Greek art but for only a few names of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Artists such as Gysis, Lytras, Pantazis, Volanakis, Iakobides, Ralli etc might be out of our league and selling in the hundreds of thousands of pounds/Euros. Lesser important works by these artists are still selling below the 50,000 mark.

However, there are so many other artists, who are still relatively cheap for the average investor and can be acquired for less than ten thousand pounds, a sum quite a number of us can afford to spend on a good piece of art. Furthermore, there are many modern twentieth/ twenty-first century artists, who promise excellent investment returns within the next ten to twenty years and can be acquired for less than five thousand pounds and in many cases for below one thousand pounds.

Our aim is to provide a sincere and honest service to our readers and possible investors, irrespective of our stock and our possible financial gains. We are never going to engage in hard – core selling because art is a different type of investment to any other. You invest because you like art first and then you expect a possible return in the long term second. With the motto “ Art is for enjoyment first and then financial gain”, we herewith advise our readers, who we think are the most desirable names to have in mind, when investing in art and within the 1,000 – 100,000 pounds price tag.
